In recent years, with the global increase in awareness of renewable energy and environmental protection, China, as one of the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) markets, has been actively promoting the development of "photovoltaic-storage-charging" projects. Multiple provinces have issued relevant supportive policies to facilitate the implementation and popularization of such projects across the country. These policies not only help alleviate urban power supply pressures but also boost the development of the new energy vehicle industry, achieving coordinated economic, social, and environmental development.

Technological advancements have made our lives inseparable from various electronic devices, all of which require electricity to operate. However, power supply is not a stable issue—it is affected by many factors, including weather conditions, power grid status, and more. This leads to unstable power supply, sometimes causing short-term or even prolonged outages, which bring significant inconvenience to our lives. Is there a solution to this problem? The answer is "photovoltaic-storage-charging"—a photovoltaic energy storage charging system.

Q:  What is Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging?

"Photovoltaic-storage-charging" is a system that utilizes solar power generation, battery energy storage, and EV charging. It integrates photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, charging piles, battery detection, and other technologies to achieve efficient utilization of renewable energy.

Q:  Working Principle of Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging
Solar panels convert solar energy into direct current (DC), which is then transformed into alternating current (AC) via an inverter for household use or EV charging. Meanwhile, the system's battery storage unit can store excess electricity for future needs. When power demand is high, the battery storage unit releases stored electricity to ensure stable supply.

Additionally, the photovoltaic-storage-charging system is equipped with charging devices that provide power for EVs or other equipment. When charging is required, electricity from the energy storage unit is released through the charging devices to supply power.

Q:  Advantages of Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging

  1. High Efficiency and Energy Saving
The core of the photovoltaic-storage-charging system is solar power generation, which converts solar energy into electricity, saving non-renewable energy consumed by traditional thermal power generation and eliminating harmful gas emissions such as carbon dioxide to reduce environmental pollution. Furthermore, the system adopts advanced energy storage technology to store excess electricity for later use, thereby improving energy utilization efficiency.

  2. Stable and Reliable
The system has strong energy storage and supply capabilities, capable of balancing power peak-valley differences and ensuring stable power supply. Even at night or during severe weather, the system can provide stable electricity through energy storage batteries. This stability and reliability make the photovoltaic-storage-charging system suitable for various scenarios—homes, schools, office buildings, etc.—to meet different power needs.

  3. Economical and Practical
The system can reduce users' electricity costs by utilizing solar-generated power and decreasing reliance on grid-purchased electricity. Moreover, the introduction of energy storage batteries allows users to charge when electricity prices are low and discharge when prices are high, further lowering costs.

  4. Strong Flexibility
The integrated photovoltaic-storage-charging station can operate in both grid-connected and off-grid modes as needed. In grid-connected mode, the system is integrated with the power grid for energy exchange; in off-grid mode, it operates independently, relying solely on solar power and energy storage batteries. This flexibility enables the system to adapt to different application scenarios and user requirements.
